Police: Elderly Assailant Wanted for Attempting to Murder His Brother

A 73-year-old man is wanted for attempted murder after he allegedly attacked his 80-year-old brother-in-law with a walking cane, Pasadena police said.

The incident occurred at 2:51 a.m. on Tuesday morning in the victim's residence on Green Street near South Fair Oak Avenue.

According to Lt.Tim Bundy , the victim and the suspect were involved in a physical fight inside the victim's residence.

During the fight, the suspect punched the victim in the face and knocked him to the ground. The suspect then took the his walking cane and began striking the victim about the head, face, and body.

The suspect reportedly yelled that he was going to kill the victim, but at some point stopped his attack and fled, Bundy said.

Paramedics responded to the scene, but the victim refused treatment.

The suspect is described as a 73-year-old man, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and 180 pounds. He has short gray hair and brown eyes.
